Notice to govt over ‘soldier in Pak prison since 1965 war’
After disappearing following the India-Pakistan war nearly six decades ago and having his photograph featured in a newspaper advertisement 21 years later, the NHRC has issued a new notice to the ministry of home affairs (MHA) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). They are requested to provide action taken reports within the next four weeks regarding Ananda Patri, an Indian Army jawan reportedly held in a Pakistani prison since 1965.
